Poppi's Anatolia has been serving Greek and Indian food in downtown Eugene since 1987. The unique combination of cuisines provides a vast array of tastes, textures and culinary experiences. Hearty Greek peasant dishes and the more highly spiced Indian curries work well together. For instance, we offer the unusual opportunity to begin a meal with the traditional Greek Mezedakia, a combination of appetizers, dips, olives and breads; or a Classic Greek Salad made with tomatoes,bell peppers, cucumbers, and feta. Then, for a change of taste, Indian Shrimp Curry; fiery hot or mild with an exotic complexity of spices. Finally, select a dessert that will complete a journey in flavors around the world in the space of a meal.

Sunday is "Poppi's Night". All selections are Greek and special items are added to the menu. These include Arni Souvlaki, tender marinated lamb grilled to perfection; Classic Greek Mousaka; Kalamarakia, the house speciality which is squid, lightly floured and shallow fried in olive oil, then served in simple Greek fashion with lemon and salt.

We always have a wide variety of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. Our knowledgeable staff will gladly provide information and assistance when making your choices. Beer and wine are available. When weather permits, there is outside seating.

At Poppi's Anatolia, the casual dining atmosphere and friendly staff help to create an environment where a meal is both delicious and nurturing. The kitchen is visible, giving the diner a real sense of where his/her food is coming from; the knowledge that meals are prepared on site, with fresh ingredients, using attention and care.
